As your next Governor, I will be an unwavering defender of Second Amendment Rights, fiercely protecting the God-given right of every law-abiding Kansan to keep and bear arms. In my view, the Kansas Constitution and the U.S. Constitution are the only documents required to secure this fundamental liberty. The words “shall not be infringed” are not mere rhetoric—they are a solemn promise I will uphold with unrelenting resolve.
My administration will stand as a bulwark against any attempt to erode the Second Amendment rights of Kansans. I will oppose burdensome regulations, excessive fees, or bureaucratic red tape that infringe on the ability of law-abiding citizens to exercise their constitutional protections. Whether for self-defense, hunting, or sport, the right to keep and bear arms is non-negotiable, and I will ensure Kansas remains a state where this freedom thrives.
I will work with the Republican-led Legislature to strengthen Kansas’ already robust pro-Second Amendment laws, including defending and expanding constitutional carry and ensuring stand-your-ground protections remain ironclad. My administration will resist any federal overreach that threatens our rights, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Kansans to preserve our heritage of liberty.
Through the Kansas Department of Government Efficiency (K-DOGE), I will review state agencies like the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Kansas Highway Patrol to eliminate any inefficiencies or policies that could hinder the timely processing of firearms-related permits for those who choose to obtain them, while ensuring compliance with existing laws. My focus will be on streamlining government to serve law-abiding citizens, not obstructing them.
As Governor, I will champion a Kansas where the Second Amendment is revered as a cornerstone of our freedom. I will fight tirelessly to ensure that every law-abiding Kansan can exercise their constitutional right to bear arms without fear of government interference. Together, we will keep Kansas a state where liberty is protected, and “shall not be infringed” means exactly what it says.
