As your next Governor, I, Doug Billings, will make Election Integrity a cornerstone of my administration, ensuring that every Kansan’s vote is secure, transparent, and counted accurately. The Right to Vote, second only to the Right to Life, is one of our most sacred freedoms, and I will protect it with unwavering resolve. Election integrity failures are real in Kansas, and anyone who claims otherwise is either misinformed or lying. My administration will restore trust in our electoral process through bold reforms and rigorous accountability.

I will order immediate investigations into election integrity issues across Kansas, focusing on past irregularities, including the egregious actions of a former Secretary of State who destroyed election ballots despite court orders to preserve them. Such violations will not stand under my leadership.

I will ask Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach to engage the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) to investigate and prosecute anyone who perpetrated election fraud.

To secure our elections, I will work to eliminate electronic voting machines, which are vulnerable to manipulation and erode public confidence. In their place, I will implement watermarked paper ballots, providing a verifiable, tamper-proof system that guarantees transparency and accuracy. K-DOGE will oversee the transition to ensure it is efficient and cost-effective, with public reports detailing progress and safeguards.

I will also explore making Election Day a paid state holiday in Kansas, encouraging greater voter participation by giving working Kansans the time to cast their ballots without financial hardship. This initiative will reinforce the importance of civic engagement and ensure every voice is heard.

I will collaborate with the Republican-led Legislature to enact laws that strengthen election security, including stricter voter ID requirements, enhanced chain-of-custody protocols for ballots, and regular audits of voter rolls. My administration will prioritize transparency, providing Kansans with clear, accessible information about election processes and results.

As Governor, my Election Integrity platform will make Kansas a model for secure, trustworthy elections. I will fight tirelessly to protect your sacred right to vote, ensuring that every legal ballot is counted and every election reflects the true will of the people.
