Doug Billings is committed to protecting the sacred property rights of every Kansan. Private Property is the cornerstone of freedom, and Kansans should have absolute control over their land and homes without fear of government overreach.
Billings will:
End eminent domain abuse: Fight against unjust eminent domain seizures, ensuring
private property is only taken for true public use with fair compensation and land owner
consent.
Leverage the Chevron deference ruling: Use the Supreme Courts decision to overturn
Chevron deference to challenge and roll back burdensome federal and state regulations
that infringe on property rights, empowering Kansans to use their land freely.
Reduce government overreach: Eliminate Unnecessary zoning restrictions.
environmental regulations and bureaucratic red tape that restrict landowners’ ability to
develop, farm, ranch, or manage their property.
Protect Against Encroachment: Strengthen legal protections to prevent government or
corporate entities (or any foreign country) from encroaching on private land through
regulatory loopholes or core erosive tactics.
Empower Landowners: Create a Property Rights Task Force to advocate for Kansans,
streamline appeals processes and provide legal support for those facing property
disputes with federal or state agencies.
Eliminate Property Taxes Through K-DOGE: Through the Kansas Department Of
Government Efficiency (K-DOGE), Billings will establish an expert team to audit every
department under the Governor’s Office, identifying and eliminating waste,
bureaucracy, and fraud. Billings will advocate to the Kansas legislature that the
hundreds of millions of dollars saved will be redirected to eliminate property taxes,
ensuring Kansans truly own their homes, farms, ranches, land, and vehicles – not “rent”
them from the government. The American Dream is not for rent!
By prioritizing property rights and leveraging K-DOGE’s efficiency, Billings will ensure Kansans
can fully exercise their God-given freedoms, preserve their legacy, and build prosperity on their
land without interference or taxation.
